Tipping
Tipping is optional in Australia. Not mandatory, but appreciated for exceptional service. Usually divided among staff.
In Australia, tipping is not mandatory, but it is always welcomed if you feel that the service you received was exceptional.
Some cafes, restaurants and tour operators may have tip jars on their counters, but it is not expected for you to leave a tip. If you do choose to leave a tip, it is usually divided among all the staff who worked during that shift.
Many Australians simply leave the change if it is a small amount, but this is also optional.
