It’s winter, there’s nowhere I’d rather be.
Next to the beach is The Esplanade, a 1.5 km stretch where everything transforms. The city stops like a sheer cliff, giving way to a sweeping 180-degree view of the ocean horizon. People come here to see and be seen, to forget and remember. It’s home to the most photographed sign in Australia, proudly proclaiming Surfers Paradise. On one side, hotel towers rise, while on the other, waves roll onto the shore.
