Almost as good as watching the European supercars or the vintage Australian muscle cars is seeing the outliers. The outlanders, the amphibians, the packed up survival trucks all getting a glimpse of the sea while being part of the show.  And while you are sitting there wondering if these monster trucks with oversized tyres belong on the road, you’ll see something even bigger painted like a duck.

A favourite genre is the desert beasts as they hit the coast like the final scene of a Mad Max epic. A convoy carrying supplies on its roof and smiles in the cabin. How many thousand kays has it been? Welcome boys. Welcome to the blue place.
