McIntosh Island Park
Macintosh Island Park is a beautiful oasis amidst the glitz and glamour of Surfers Paradise and Main Beach.
It's surrounded by large, shady trees and features playgrounds, streams and a bird sanctuary where you can spot majestic peacocks. The larger playground is covered by a giant shade sail and has slides, climbing structures and swings. For the adventurous, there's even a cave.
The smaller playground is perfect for toddlers. Along the Nerang River, there are sandy beaches for paddling or kayaking. The park also has modern facilities like toilets, barbecues and picnic shelters, as well as benches, fountains and pathways.
Macintosh Island Park is a popular spot for picnics and gatherings with family and friends. You can even book a space under the shade of the large trees. You can access the park by car or footbridge from Main Beach.
Parking is available on both sides of the park. Just remember, dogs must be on a leash and are not allowed in the playground areas.
